Welcome to Easdale Island Holidays Website
The car free Island of Easdale is the smallest permanently inhabited island in the Inner Hebrides, on Scotland's stunning West Coast, an area renowned for its wild beauty, rugged landscapes and amazing pristine marine environment. Known as 'the island that roofed the world' due to it's slate mining history, Easdale is in the most beautiful location and looks out over the Atlantic Ocean, to 13 islands including, Luing, Scarba, Jura, Islay and Colonsay. Reached by a 10 seater foot ferry from Ellenabeich, Easdale has a community of around 70 full time residents, and around 50 part-time residents. There is a small pub and restaurant, a gallery, a museum, a 4* marine wildlife boat tour specialist and a small playpark for the kids, aswell as an award winning hall with a fantastic and varied program throughout the year.
The community also puts on a number of events throughout the year, including the famous World Stone Skimming Championships in September, and the Easdale RIB Rendezvous for boaters in May. With wonderful stony beaches that shine with fools gold in the rocks, amazing views, an intriguing history, its own swimming quarry, no shops or cars and a tranquility unique to the West Coast, Easdale is the ideal get away from it all holiday experience, yet the bustling harbour town of Oban is less than half an hour away and the whole of the county of Argyll is at your fingertips to explore. See things to do.
